WANTED: Thanksgiving Meal Coordinator
In the past, Trinity UCC has organized the annual Thanksgiving meal provided to those in need of a meal and fellowship on Thanksgiving Day. More than one hundred people were served at the 2009 event. This very worthwhile mission has been supported by the Centre Hall Council of Churches member churches with donations of food and manpower. At this point, the former organizers have gone and there is a need for someone to be the overall coordinator. There is also a desire to move the event from Trinity (who has a very small kitchen and fellowship hall) to the other churches, perhaps taking turns hosting the event. A representative from each church will be the point of contact for the overall coordinator. Those representatives will report back to their churches and communicate the needs, collect the donations and volunteer information, and then report to the coordinator for final planning. In order to have the event this fall, we must have someone volunteer soon. Prayerfully consider serving in this capacity. All of the planning information that was used to plan the meal in 2009 will be provided to you to help you get started. Volunteers are needed ASAP to plan the 2010 Vacation Bible School program for Centre Hall. Kathy Coursen has stepped up to represent Grace church on a committee to plan the 2010 VBS program. The goal is to have volunteers from each church in Centre Hall to work together as a committee to choose a program from available resources (already prepared programs), schedule the event and assemble the manpower needed to put on the bible school program and provide necessary snacks, etc. To volunteer, call Tammie in the church office and leave your name and phone number or contact Kathy Coursen directly. You do not need to be a member of Grace Church to assist with this project. Thank you!

URGENT: Church Checkers Needed: The Trustees check the church building and lock up every night. If you are willing to volunteer your time to do this for a month, please sign up in the hallway. Contact Richard Hosterman or the church office for more information. (You will be provided with a list of what needs to be checked.) Currently, we have NO volunteers which means that the same person does this several months in a row. You can see why it is very important to have new church checkers volunteer. Thank you!

Centre Hall Potter Twp Food & Fuel Bank in need of volunteers. Distribution day is the third Tuesday of each month (except August.) There is a need for volunteers from 8-10 a.m. Help is also needed on food delivery days, which vary, for 1-1 1/2 hours. If you are able to help, let us know and you will be notified of the day and time about a week before the delivery. To volunteer, contact Erskine Cash at 364-9184.

Leadership Team Mtg January 12, February 9 @ 7 p.m.
In accordance with our Visioning Plan, the monthly meeting once known as Administrative Board has now become the Leadership Team Meeting. Every team in the church should be represented at these meetings in order to share progress on their team’s projects. This is also an opportunity for you to learn about all that is happening at Grace Church. Please plan to attend.

Nursery Volunteers Needed
We are fortunate to offer the nursery for all who attend the second service however we are currently understaffed. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to join the Nursery Volunteers in an effort to allow all to serve in the nursery on a rotation basis.

Attention all Event Planners: Contact the church office with all dates and times for events so that they can be added to our centralized church calendar. As we add more events, it's imperative to have a centralized calendar system in order to prevent conflicts. This includes events held at the church and off-site, and ANY changes to previously scheduled dates, times and locations. Please contact Tammie during office hours or by email. Thank you.

Grace UM Playschool is collecting box tops for the school district. There is a collection bag at the end of the hall by the classrooms.
